What is happening in G6 ESL?
It’s May already and it’s another short 4-day week. This should be the last week of WIDA tests for EAP students. Remember to have a good night’s sleep, a healthy breakfast and keep calm and positive.
|Mon 1||Tues 2||Wed 3||Thurs 4||Fri 5|
Part 2 of the WIDA Reading and Listening tests will be undertaken and then students will be finished. Yay!
Students will review vocabulary for the Materials Economy in Social Studies and Plate Tectonics in Science. They will practice using subordinate clauses with this vocabulary to create more complex sentences.
Students will read picture books on Social Issues to gather ideas, and start planning their own picture book for an ES audience.
This week an in-depth study of the Distribution component of the Material’s Economy will take place. There are lots of resources to read and view to support your learning, so make sure you check Google Classroom or your Drive for the links.
Students will again continue learning vocabulary and concepts related to Plate Tectonics.
